Become a VOLUNTEER for NCCAP
Pat
Barnes
ADC/CTRS, NCCAP President
The
NCCAP Board of Directors (your board) is comprised of volunteers
who feel strongly about the importance of having certified people
providing services to the primarily geriatric population. However,
we are always looking for more of our membership to become involved
and to give input as to how we can be of assistance to you in
your state.
As
Activity Professionals, we all have experience working with
volunteers and recognize their value. How do you feel about
changing “hats” and becoming a volunteer for NCCAP?
There are several committees that could use dedicated volunteers.
If you are interested in assisting with the certification process,
we can train you to be a reviewer. If you would like to help
in finding qualified members to serve on the board, we could
use your assistance on that as well. If you are interested in
becoming a state representative and helping others with the
certification process, and monitoring your state government
regulations regarding certification and MEPAP I, the organization
could use you.
Your
professional organization is only as good as its members’
contributions. I urge you to give volunteering a try. Join us
in keeping the NCCAP organization strong. NN
