The Advanced Technology Committee continues to review all requests for continuing education approval for any learning completed via advanced technology such as correspondence courses/seminars, computer generated continuing education hours, and approval for viewing videos. All Advanced Technology seminars/courses must have an NCCAP Pre-Approval to be accepted.

At the last Board of Directors meeting discussion was held related to Advanced Technology approvals and the outcome of this discussion was that NCCAP is only approving the time it takes to complete the course/seminar. There is no way NCCAP can approve the content of the submitted materials.

Individuals submitting Advanced Technology Requests are encouraged to have three professionals review their materials and then submit letters of verification to NCCAP as to the hours it took to complete the said course/seminar. This material will be taken into consideration when NCCAP Pre-Approval is granted. If you are having difficulty in getting continuing education hours in your area, look for advanced technology courses related to the activity profession. NN
