I write this letter in response to your interest in being a committee volunteer with NCCAP. When you renew your certification and check the box indicating you are interested in being a committee volunteer, the NCCAP office staff records your name and address, which is then given to the Board.

In recognition of your interest, I want to encourage you to think about how you can be a part of NCCAP through volunteering. Being on a committee is a perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the workings of NCCAP. Committee work not only provides you with experience and professional growth, but also gives you an opportunity to assist your peers in developing their careers.

I believe education is the key to success, and NCCAP is working to provide educational opportunities for all of its members — and you can help.

The NCCAP Board not only seeks volunteers for committee work, but also holds an election each year for board member candidates. If you’ve had an interest in being on the board but felt you lacked experience, then signing up as a committee volunteer is the first (and best) step toward gaining experience in the area of your interest. Remember — NCCAP Needs You!

Listed here are the different committees where volunteers are used extensively. Please review them and make your decision. If you need assistance or have questions regarding what level of commitment is expected of you, please ask! Applications and brief job descriptions are available upon request. The chair of each committee will do training.
