National Certification Council for Activity
Professionals Annual Report
By: John Collins, CTRS,
ACC NCCAP Treasurer
NCCAP
is doing well financially, and I can say that it has
been a real learning experience for me to serve as the
Treasurer. Quick Books had been installed in 2000 -
however, there were some difficulties in entering expenses/income
into the appropriate categories. The Profit and Loss
Statement for 2001 was continued in the manner in which
it was started. However, when it was time for presenting
the 2002 Budget and getting it approved - much time
was spent into getting the appropriate chart of accounts
into more of a working system. The Treasurer, Executive
Director, and Accountant worked many hours to get a
better picture of 2001 while at the same time preparing
a system that would provide for a better tracking system
in order to run NCCAP in a professional manner.
NCCAP
investments are still doing well; however, they did
take a hit in 2001 due to the circumstances that took
place during that year.
The
NCCAP Executive Director, Board of Directors, and office
staff continue to work within the approved budget in
order to get the services to our membership in a timely
and professional manner. NN
