Message from the NCCAP President
By: Patricia Barnes,
ADC/CTRS
It's
hard to believe that we are getting close to another
convention already. The year has passed very quickly
for me. The board has been busy and got together in
early November for our Fall meeting. While email is
great, it's always better to have the dialogue that
occurs when we meet face-to-face. We discussed many
issues and I would like to share a few with you.
Our
Executive Director's hours have been expanded to 40
per week. Since her work takes her to a variety of sites,
the new phone system allows you to leave a message just
for her regardless of whether she is in or out of the
office. To contact her, call (757) 552-0653 ext. 304.
We
have also expanded and improved the website. It now
includes a bulletin board. If you have not visited it
recently, please do. It's a busy website with approximately
60,000 hits each month.
As
you read this, you have probably noticed that we have
changed vendors for the newsletter. Due to the size
of our publication, more vendors are also expressing
an interest in advertising with us. The rate card is
listed on our website, under advertising,
on the home page.
I
am also requesting that you bring to my attention any
issues that you would like to have on the agenda at
our Spring 2002 Board of Directors meeting, which will
be held on April 15th and 16th. Comments should be submitted
in writing and sent to the NCCAP office, to the attention
of Patricia Barnes. They need to be received by April
5th, 2002.
Finally,
I look forward to greeting you in person at our booth.
See you in Kansas City! NN
