The Diversity of NCCAP Volunteers

Volunteers
are NCCAP treasures. Each of you brings multiple skills and
professionalism to our organization. In addition to the Board
of Directors, your volunteer work on the various committees
assists NCCAP certified members, potential members, and the
public on continued awareness of the services we provide as
we dedicate our self to others.
The
Nominations committee plays a huge part (through ongoing elections)
in building strong leadership within our Board of Directors.
State Representatives serve as liaisons between the association
and the state they represent as they provide information and
lend direction to potential certified members. Other NCCAP committees
assist our members on their Initial Certifications and Re-Certifications,
and the Appeals Committee assists when one of our NCCAP members
has a concern regarding their certification. Our Strategic Planning
Committee remains current on what and where NCCAP should be.
Volunteers also submit articles for our newsletter and/or serve
on special Adhoc Committees.
The
Board of Directors recognizes the many talents of each volunteer
who brings a sense of caring that is evident in the work they
do for NCCAP. If you are interested in a specific committee
and would like to work with your certified peers as a part of
NCCAP, please call the main office at (757) 552-0653, fax (757)
552-0491, or visit our website at www.nccap.org. NN
Thank
you to Nancy DeBolt, Sandy Dole, Anne D'Antonio-Nocera, and
Dr. Charles Peckham for providing input on the revision of the
NCCAP Code of Ethics. Your suggestions will assist the committee
greatly as they pull together drafts of a revised Code of Ethics
for board approval at the spring meeting.
