Serving
the Council Series:
Officers and Standing Committee Chairs:
The Role of Each NCCAP Board Member
By
Rand Bass, ACC
The
Board of Directors of the National Certification Council
for Activity Professionals is composed of six positions.
There are six Director seats. In an effort to better
serve and inform our membership in coming issues we
will be discussing the basic organization of the Board
and the role of each office or committee chair and the
individual responsibilities we as members of the Board
of Directors carry out in service to NCCAP.
The
six Director positions are voluntary and are elected
certified members who qualify to run for election for
three year terms. At least three elected members to
the Board of directors must have Bachelor's degrees.
The
officers of the Board are President, Vice President,
Secretary and Treasurer and there are currently two
Committee Chairs, Special Projects and Nominations.
In the next three issues of this publication we will
take a look at the role and responsibilities of each
position and those duties each Director fulfills for
our professional organization and its members. Remember
that your Board of Directors is here to serve you and
that you may at any time contact us for information
or assistance.
