MEPAP
2nd Edition Orientation Training
Numerous
efforts have been made by NCCAP to offer the MEPAP training
around the country to allow training to be more regionally
accessible to instructors versus holding it once a year,
which had been the previous schedule. By the time you
read this, trainings will have been conducted in Iowa,
Nevada, North Carolina, and held in conjunction with
the NAAP Conference in Alexandria, VA, April 2005. Several
other sites (WI, TX, TN, and OH) were cancelled although
several interested parties called, very few followed
through with the actual registration/payment by the
designated deadlines. NCCAP will continue through 2005
offering the training in a few more locations. Beginning
in 2006 the training will be offered twice a year and
as indicated by a geographical need only. The response
from the trainings have been overwhelmingly positive,
as this MEPAP orientation gives instructors all the
tools they need to offer a viable educational program.
NCCAP continues to encourage state and government agencies
to accept the MEPAP as the minimum required standard
for the approved course. Continue checking the nccap.org
