HAPPENINGS!
By

Word
is out that the new OBRA surveyor guideline and investigative
protocols are to be released in January and should go
into effect in March 2006. Many folks are gearing up
for this, updating their books and manuals that will
be for sale. The Wednesday pre-conference session of
the NAAP Conference in Reno, Nevada in April 2006, will
be "The New Proposed Interpretive Guidelines for
Tags F-248 and F-249" by Carmen Bowman, ACC and
Bonnie Ruggles-Ruechel, ACC.
The NAAP Conference "Strike it RICH" in Activities
looks to be full of great information. They have educational
tracks set up for those in Adult Day Services, Assisted
Living, Alzheimer's/Dementia, Long Term Care, Retirement,
Education/Consultants, and general sessions for all
activities personnel. For those needing continuing education
for their NCCAP certification here is a great opportunity
to make that happen.
This
year NCCAP is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, with
special happenings and giveaways at the 2006 NAAP Convention
in Reno, Nevada. So be sure to stop by the NCCAP booth
to check us out! NN
