the Scenes

As
Activity Professionals we know what it takes to make
our programs and activities successful. What our residents,
families and staff see is the "finished product".
What they don't see are the things that go on behind
the scenes and the little incidentals. Such is true
for NCCAP as well. Did you know that NCCAP is celebrating
their 20th anniversary this year at the NAAP convention
in Reno, Nevada, April 5-8, 2006. Plans include 20th
anniversary give-a-ways, refreshments and a trip down
memory lane as we look at the last 20 years and the
progress NCCAP and Activity Professionals have made,
hand-in-hand. Mother Nature clearly made her presence
known the past year with Hurricane Katrina. (Wilma/Rita)
NCCAP made a donation to the relief efforts on behalf
of their members. We all know where we would be without
donations so it is only fitting that we give back to
others. Do you know someone who would like to become
certified but funding is the main issue? NCCAP will
be offering (20) $500.00 scholarships to those wishing
to be part of a study group for research and follow
through of the MEPAP courses. Application for certification
after completing the course is a requirement. For more
information contact the NCCAP office. As we move forward
into 2006 please know that the NCCAP Board will continue
to keep you, the members, in our strategic plans. If

As the fiscal year came to an end for NCCAP we are pleased
to report that our numbers look very good. As Activity
Professionals do, NCCAP is continuously looking for
ways to get the most out of every dollar. We appreciate
YOUR help in recruiting new Certified Members and would
encourage you to continue spreading the word about NCCAP
and the benefits of becoming certified. NN
