Bridging
the GAP
In
early 2006, NCCAP will be offering a MEPAP, "Bridge
the Gap" course in North Carolina. This will be
available to those individuals that have taken a less
than 90 hour MEPAP Basic Education Activity Course,
from a qualified instructor, that wish to pursue becoming
nationally certified with NCCAP, and are lacking the
current MEPAP requirement. After the initial training
offered by NCCAP, pre-approved NCCAP instructors within
the state will continue to offer the future bridge courses
to those needing it. Once this pilot bridge the gap
course is completed; NCCAP will be offering it in the
other states that offer the less than 90-hour courses,
in order to also assist those individuals with their
professional pursuits (The MEPAP Bridge The Gap course
is a modification of the MEPAP 2nd edition curriculum,
to ensure that all the individuals that pre-test and
complete the bridge course will be trained to the trained
to the current national standard.)
