At the Spring Board of Directors meeting held in Burlington, Vermont, the Board voted to require the Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals (90-hour Basic Education Course) for all individuals applying for either the ADC or the ACC level of certification. This was recommended by the re-engineering committee and accepted by the Board of Directors as another phase of the overall standards revision.

The standards committee also recommended that the standards have a consistent component for all the director level and above certifications. Requiring the “MEPAP Part 1” will allow for that consistency. This change will be reflected with the 2002 NCCAP Standards. NN
