Highlights of the Year

In addition to the actual numbers below (request budget information at info@nccap.org ), I would like to share the following highlights:

• During 2000 the Board continued to work closely with our auditors and put into place recommendations that improved our accounting records. With the auditor’s assistance QuickBooks was installed. This enabled the office to handle all money transactions for NCCAP. All business checks are now generated by the office and are appropriately entered the designated budget areas. This has made tracking of expenses much easier than in the past.
• The audit for 1999 was done in the late summer (less costly that time of year) and we received a clear audit.
• Due to the increased demand on the office staff for services, we have added a part time staff person.
• The newsletter now includes ads, which has helped to defray the overall cost of the newsletter.
• Our investment funds have continued to grow even though the market has been very unpredictable. The funds are well balanced thanks to previous members of the Board.
• We have ended the year with a positive bottom line. NN
