Where Have All the Educational Opportunities
Gone?
By Kathy
Hughes, ADC
On a daily
basis, NCCAP receives e-mail from activity professionals seeking
state and regional educational opportunities. We refer them
to the NCCAP State Representative, hoping they can provide the
information the person requires. However, we do have a more
cost-effective marketing tool available that over 1,000 people
a month can access. This tool is FREE and available to
all state, local, and regional associations, as well as MEPAP
course instructors. This tool allows educators, state associations,
and private educational companies to post upcoming educational
events with the information needed to bring people to their
sessions.
Since there
are few opportunities for those re-locating or those who are
looking for educational venues to find all that is offered for
activity professionals, we have made the on-line NCCAP bulletin
board a user-friendly place. All of the posted conferences,
sessions, workshops, and seminars are right at your fingertips.
Further, NCCAP will keep the bulletin board current by deleting
each event upon completion.
We receive
many telephone calls,
e-mails, and letters asking for MEPAP courses. Instructors are
welcome to take advantage of this FREE advertising opportunity
by posting that information on our NCCAP bulletin board, activity
professionals can easily find a course near them. (We also encourage
the potential students to check surrounding states for Instructors,
as many independent MEPAP pre-approved instructors travel to
a variety of sites.)
The NCCAP bulletin board is a fantastic way to advertise upcoming
educational events. Recently, the Activities Association for
Leisure Time Personnel of New York State (AALTPNYS) posted their
summer retreat on the NCCAP bulletin board, and many who attended
referred to the posting as their source of information. This
FREE opportunity is yours for the posting! Your NCCAP
State Representative or anyone in your organization can post
the information. We have the tools available 24 hours a day
7 days a week. Did we mention that they are FREE?
We are looking
forward to seeing more state, local, and regional educational
opportunities posted on our NCCAP Bulletin Board.
