Ms. Village HealthCare

As a tiara was placed on her head and a sash was put across her shoulders, Jeanne Wallis became this year's titleholder of Ms Village HealthCare. Wallis likes puzzles, skiing and writing letters. She has been married for 65 years and has raised four children. When asked by the judges to name the craziest thing she has done in her life, she elicited laughter from the crowd when she replied, "this".

Acting as Master of Ceremonies, Activity Director Miguel Sarasa introduced six contestants who were judged on appearance, talent, and an interview for the Hemet California's third annual event. Each contestant was sponsored by a staff member that helped them find a proper dress and ensured they were presentable for all three categories. Judges included Jamie Johnson, Emma Vallejo, Anna Reichenberg, Courtney Hill, Miss Hemet 2007, and Meagan Tandy, Miss California USA 2007.

The purpose of this program is to allow our residents the opportunity to show that they still can make a difference and that their beauty still remains regardless of age and limitations. Miss California USA and Third Runner Up in the 2007 Miss USA pageant Meagan Tandy commented that the ladies shined and really came to life. After the ladies received their titles and finished their photo sessions, Wallis turned to Queens Hill and Tandy and said, "I'll have to call you up and ask you what to do." NN
