Getting the Most Out of NCCAP's Web Site

In
an effort to provide our members and potential members
with all the information that they need for certi-fication,
we have enabled our web site (www.nccap.org) with the
complete and up-to-date NCCAP Standards and the NCCAP
Application in down-loadable and printable form. Both
sets of documents are available seven days a week, 24
hours a day - including evenings. In addition to the
increased availability and heightened level of service
to activity professionals, we also placed them there
to save on postage and to save a few trees!
We
are encouraging instruc-tors, students and potential
NCCAP members to use NCCAP.ORG and all of its information
as much as possible. In addition to the Standards and
the Application, there's a sample certificate for our
members to use with their educational programs at their
facilities (inservices) as well as when they are taking
a craft class.
The
NCCAP pre-approved instructors list is updated regularly.
For those looking for courses, we encourage you to contact
the listed instructors to find out when they will be
teaching in your area.
We
also have the NCCAP pre-approval forms for spon-sors
of conferences, work-shops, and other continuing education
programs for our members. If you attend a session and
it is not NCCAP pre-approved, give the sponsors the
web site address and encourage them to become pre-approved.
NCCAP.ORG
has all of our past newsletters for everyone to read
and use in their class-es or their jobs. These archived
articles let the world know about NCCAP certification
and what NCCAP is doing for you.
Instructors
or vendors that would like to reach over 6,500 activity
professionals can find information about advertising
in our newsletter as well as the newsletter deadlines,
(which also means you can submit an article for NCCAP
credit as well).
NCCAP.ORG's
bulletin board includes lively discus-sions about activities.
Our most popular threads are about salaries. We encourage
those giving NCCAP pre-approved continuing education
sessions to post critical information about their upcoming
sessions on the bulletin board. The site gets over 60,000
"hits" per month from all over the world!
Please
take a few moments and visit your site, familiarize
yourself with all that it has to offer. Download the
NCCAP Standards and Application so you can print them
off at any time and share them with potential NCCAP
