Secretary's Annual Meeting Report

Pre-approval
Reviewer Report:
Michelle Thompson, ACC: (1) It would help if an after
hours phone number is included on the form. The reviewer
is often doing the work at home during the evening.
(2) When counting hours, only the actual teach-ing hours
are approved. (3) Submitting the pre-approval form AT
LEAST two months before the class is to be pre-sented
will ensure that the pre-approval number is available
when it is needed.
Initial
Certification Reviewer Report: Susan Archibald,
ACC: Many applica-tions were processed! The major concerns
are (1) Application not completely filled out. (2) No
numbers given for Academic Course work (from standards
form); (3) Experience Information incomplete. (4) CEs
done incorrectly, and (5) No Official Transcripts included,
or the evaluation for Foreign Colleges not included.
ACC
Track 3 Certification Report: Jane Martin, ACC:
The ACC Track 3 is a very slow process and none have
been completed, although one should be in 200. There
have been many inquiries, but little follow through.
By-Laws/Electronic
Education/Renewal Reviewer's Training Report:
John Collins, ACC, CTRS, NCCAP Board Vice President:
(1) The proposed changes to the by-laws have been presented
to the board and are undergoing review. (2) Electronic
Education Committee is new and mate-rials are reviewed
for hours, not quality of content. (3) The follow-up
reviews for the new renewal reviewers is being done
by John, and new training will occur tomorrow during
the NCCAP Certification Breakout. (4) The Board acknowledged
the service of Greg Foster, who recently passed away.
(5) The renewal Committee members present were thanked
for their hard work. (6) Incomplete CE certificates
are the major problem with renewals.
Recognition:
Certificates of Appreciation were given to Kathy Hughes
and Patricia Barnes for serving on the Board the last
three years. Both have been re-elected to the Board
of Directors. Certificates were also given to Debbie
Wilkinson for her time on the Board, and to Kimberly
Keegen for serving as the State Representation Co-Chair.
We currently have 82 people serv-ing on committees!
