Take
the MEPAP Instructor Challenge...
NCCAP
challenges its instructors to a contest of sorts. The
MEPAP course syllabus includes covering national certification
for activity professionals, which in most cases means
they would be pursuing certification with NCCAP. Completion
of the MEPAP course often means that an individual is
likely to be eligible to apply for NCCAP certification
on some level in most cases the ADPC or ADC. (As the
MEPAP course is required for ALL levels of certification
after 2001).
In
addition to covering the topic of national certification,
NCCAP is challenging the MEPAP instructors to assist
and encourage their students to follow through and actually
BECOME CERTIFIED, by offering an incentive.
Starting
January 1, 2005-December 31, 2005 the instructor that
has the highest ratio of course completers that apply
for NCCAP certification will win their instructor renewal
fee for 2 years, as well as an additional prize to be
distributed to the winner by the NCCAP Executive Director,
which will be announced at a later date.
Instructors
need to sign the application, and/or submit a written
letter (with a signature) that verifies they assisted
the student with their application process in order
to receive credit for that applicant.
As
an instructor myself with over 25 individuals following
through and becoming certified in 2004, it is such a
rewarding experience having the privilege of being part
of an activity professionals educational foundation.
Will
you be the one to meet the challenge? NN
