The
definition of a Professional is one who is paid for
a skill in which he/she has had higher education, one
who has dedicated themselves to a specific vocation
or profession, an expect in a chosen field of work,
credentials in a chosen occupation.
Every one is a Professional now days! Just what does
it take to be a Professional?
Are
YOU a Professional? Let's look at the definition:
Higher Education
Activity Directors who are Professionals seek continuing
education in their chosen vocation. The NCCAP promotes
education and experience in order to be recognized as
a Professional that meets a higher standard. Since 1986
we have challenged our members to continue to develop
skills that will enhance their ability to deliver services
to their residents and clients from a professional.
NCCAP is now offering a new level of certification Track
5 open to people that have dedicated their careers to
the activity profession. I encourage you to wave your
professional banner to join NCCAP!
Dedication
The Activity Directors that have committed themselves
to education and their credentials are dedicated to
a higher stand of programming for their residents/clients.
This dedication has raised our occupation to a professional
level that is recognized by regulatory agencies as Quality
of Life. In our field we have found dedication to that
commitment of professionals of up to forty years.
I
would like to challenge you as a professional to invite
other dedicated activity directors to join us (NCCAP)
and be recognized as a true Professional that voluntarily
standard through certification. Share with your peers
how certification through the NCCAP has enhanced your
career.
Too
Busy to be a Professional? Too Busy Not to be a Professional!
*You
can never be too rich, to thin, (well ...we are all
working on that),
or too Professional.
(NCCAP members are there!)
