Regarding
Certification Renewals...
Take a
little extra time to make sure that your
NCCAP Renewal is in tip-top shapeby
Cindy Bradshaw, ACC
President, NCCAP
Many of you each month
prepare to renew your certification with
NCCAP. To make the process go more
smoothly we have the following
suggestions:
- Begin working on
your renewal the moment you
become certified, or when you
send in your renewal for the next
time. This can be done in many
ways.
- Each time you attend
an educational offering, make
certain that the certificate of
attendance you receive is
complete and meets the NCCAP
Standards, i.e., the
speakers name, credentials,
date, location, number of clock
hours, etc.
- If it isn't, add the
information on the certificate
right away, before filing the
certificate. This is easier than
tracking down the information
several months later.
- Each time you attend
an educational offering that
doesn't provide a certificate,
have a blank certificate with you
that can be completed at the time
of the workshop and signed by a
speaker or the sponsor so that
educational credit might still be
obtained.
As you receive these
certificates of attendance, file them in
chronicological order until the date of
your renewal. This will make the process
much easier for you and save time in the
certification process both for you and
the individual reviewing your
application. NN
