Welcome to NAAP!

Since 1982, the National Association of Activity Professionals (NAAP) has been the premier provider for education, advocacy, and supportive needs for Activity Professionals working in the long-term care setting. In 1986, NAAP established NCCAP as the professional credential of the Activity Profession in response to the requirements of the Omnibus Budget and Reconciliation Act (OBRA) and which has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) ever since.

For only $75 annually, NAAP members receive:

  • Twice monthly webinar based continuing education, includes access to our on-line library of educational sessions. All E-Learning sessions are pre-approved with NCCAP.
  • 24-hour NAAP helpline available for professional support.
  • Weekly broadcasts filled with articles of interest and industry updates.
  • The Activity Toolbox filled with activity related in-services, articles of interest, programming ideas, and the most current information regarding regulatory and government issues.
  • Annual National Conferences specifically targeted to the needs of busy Activity Professionals with a discount registration. These in-person education opportunities can provide up to 20 hours of pre-approved continuing education through NCCAP.
  • Monthly Activity Programming ideas including how-to-guides.
  • Advice and support about National Activity Professional certification and credentialing.

All of this will benefit your facility and your residents by providing you the Activity Professional with tools, tips, and resources to increase the Quality of Life that your facility’s activity department provides. Visit the NAAP website at www.naap.info to sign up for membership.
