Connie Kaufusi is an experienced Program Manager and certified APC course instructor at the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals. Connie received her Bachelor of Business degree from American Military University in 2021. As a Marine Corps Veteran, she has extensive background knowledge in aircraft maintenance logs, records, and quality assurance, which have helped her provide comprehensive and meticulous instructional services. 

She has now been working with NCCAP as Director of Operations for six years, and as a mom to 2 young children, she brings compassion, experience, and a fresh perspective to her work as a certified instructor. Through hands-on experiential learning during her time with the NCCAP, Connie has grasped the beneficial impact that Activity Professionals have on the lives of the aging population, and she is committed to advancing the person-centered movement toward devoted care for the aging population. 

As a Licensed Instructor, I am qualified to deliver the standardized curriculum, the Activity Professional Certification (APC) and Activity Director Certified (ADC).

For over 30 years, NCCAP certification has been accepted for meeting the highest standard of CMS F680. It is the only certification accepted by NAAP for meeting the Professional Standards of Practice to be an Activity Professional.

The standardized curriculum is infused with the person-centered principles of the Pioneer Network and the Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations. It is reviewed and updated regularly by an independent Clinical and Curriculum Advisory Board of geriatric experts and long-term care practitioners.

Like all Allied Healthcare credentials, NCCAP certification is based on a formal course of study, a standardized curriculum, and an independent final exam. NCCAP certification ensures you can deliver person-centered care and life-enriching activity programs to enhance physical, cognitive, and psychosocial well-being.
